Couple’s Therapy Approach:

  • Depending on the couple’s needs, there are a variety of assessments that can help partner’s grow to better understand themselves and their partner.

Some common assessments include attachment style, family systems, and value-based assessments.

  • Treatment plans are our guide during therapy. They help to stay on task and evaluate our progress.

When creating treatment plans for couples, the goals must be agreed upon and stuck to in order to ensure that both parties feel safe and heard and can be invested in the process.

Every partnership is different. My focus when working with couples is to facilitate understanding, identify barriers to intimacy, and create a safe space where everyone is heard and respected.

I approach couple’s therapy with evidence-based assessments and a structured treatment plan. I offer couple’s the tools they need to develop healthier communication, conflict resolution skills and to create understanding. I may recommend that couples seek individual therapy if personal issues inhibit progress in couple’s therapy.
